Quake done Quick

Quake done Quickest lite

Thursday, December 22nd, 2022 by Sphere

Two and a half years later, and we are back again with another bang.

Quake done Quickest lite beats 'the Rabbit Run' by no less than 49 seconds. As a run through Quake on Easy difficulty, getting from start to end as fast as possible, this is the fastest and most optimized run through all of Quake (excluding coop runs), clocking in at a time of a mere 10:09.

We hope you enjoy this Christmas gift from the Quake done Quick team!

Is Anybody Still There?: Quake done Quickest and Quake done 100% Quickest

Thursday, December 29th, 2011 by Mathias

I guess most of you had given up hope by now, thinking that you would never see the day when Quake done Quickest and Quake done 100% Quickest were released.

But, if there's one thing we at QdQ are good at, other than playing Quake of course, it has to be "making surprise releases unexpectedly".

I am proud to have the honor to present two fine QdQ releases:

Download, watch, and enjoy.

Runner's Delight at SpeedCon 2

Wednesday, August 9th, 2006 by Stubgaard

This project was conceived at SpeedCon3, the speed-runner's meeting that took place from June 30th to July 4th, 2006 in Copenhagen, Denmark. It's the result of a two day effort. In this run, three players, namely Mathias Thore, Thomas Stubgaard and Thomas Bergendorff go through the Runner's Delight mission pack in co-operative mode, finishing the levels as fast as possible on Easy skill. As opposed to the old RDSC run, we used unrestricted bunnies in this project.

Go download Runner's Delight at SpeedCon 2, pronto!

Quake done 100% Quick lite 2

Saturday, 22nd July 2006 by Mathias

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the FULL release of Quake, QdQ releases Quake done 100% Quick lite 2, a 33:33 run through Quake getting all kills and finding all secrets on all maps.

Included in the PAK downloads you will find a standard first-person run as well as a recammed movie version! Check out the textfile if something is unclear.

This run has taken absolutely forever to finish, and so it is with great pleasure we today release Quake done 100% Quick lite 2.

Quake done double Quick lite

Thursday, 22nd June 2006 by Richard

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the SHAREWARE release of Quake, we have a new release for you WHERE we SHARE the running!

Let's have a slight pause while the enormity of that pun sinks in...

...

...

For those that are a little slow what I'm trying to say is that after years of delay, the QdQ team are proud to bring you Quake done double Quick lite, a coop run through Quake on Skill 0.

And while you're enjoying QddQlite, ponder on this: if we give you a coop run for the shareware release, what will we give you for the full release? See you back here in exactly one month.

Quake done Chopped

Saturday, 24rd December 2005 by Mathias

Following an "old tradition" of making releases on December 24th, the QdQ team today gives you Quake done Chopped.

Quake done Chopped is a run through Quake on skill 0 (Easy), killing all monsters except zombies, using only the axe.

The Rabbit Run

Sunday, 3rd April 2005 by Mathias

Ever since the AVI version of this run was released in september 2003, requests for a PAK version have been, if not frequent, at least common.

Now, it is with great pleasure that QdQ gives you the Rabbit Run. This is an easy run through all of Quake, killing as few monsters as needed but including every trick ever heard of, and finishing in 10:58 which is 1:56 faster than the old rabbit run.

The ID Run

Saturday, 26th March 2005 by Stubgaard

This release is somewhat different from most other QdQ releases, and still not... Three Swedish runners went through all of Quake, using the intended id routes! It's still about running through the game as fast as possible, but you're not allowed to take any shortcuts to speed up the process. Rocket/grenade-jumps etc. are still allowed if you stay within the path of the intented route. It's kinda odd to see parts of a map you haven't really seen for years, because you've been so used to skipping huge areas of a map :) But don't fool yourself into believe that this release is slow, 'cause it's not! Thumbs up to Martin Selinus, Mathias Thore and Robert Maglic for making this run in such a relatively short period of time.

Get the damn thing now, dzip or regular zip! And when you're done watching it, make sure you mail all three persons mentioned above, and tell them that their run sucked donkeybollocks (j/k) :-)
