QdQ put on tape
Saturday, 15th December 2001 by Ingmar
Quake done Quick with a vengeance has been converted to AVI
format and released at
Quakeshit.com
last week, thanks to Shambler (the Shambler who also created that
awesome
Promode.avi
lately). This is for all of you who have lost their Quake-CD under a
huge load of porn-magazines and experience at least two HD-crashs a
week. You can start the 165 MB download right
here
- be aware that the video is making use of the
DivX codec though.
Quake redone Quick - The Movie
Saturday, 15th September 2001 by Ingmar
So there we are, finally - the movie version of "Quake redone Quick" has
just been released on Ingmar's new site
Ill
Mind Moves. For those of you who don't know:
Quake redone Quick
is a Nightmare run through Quake, just as
Quake done Quick with a
vengeance, except that it wasn't done by the QdQ team but by a
single person.
This means it's slightly slower than
QdQwav
of course, but therefor it's been refilmed with a lot of love! You can
get it from
here.
On other news, SDA
has recently posted a Nightmare run through the first episode of the
Rogue missionpack Dissolution of Eternity in a time of
8:44,
done by someone called Jan Schob. It's no marathon run as you would
expect it from SDA, but a proper QdQ-style each-level-seperately project.
Unfortunately we can't say if it's any good, but this should be at least
SOMETHING for all of you who were waiting for a project on the Rogue
maps for ages :)
If anything simply cannot go wrong...

...it will anyway. Originally we ought to present you
another, actually not in-house release at this very day
of the
fourth anniversary of
Quake
done Quicker, and the very
first of our
latest baby
Quake done Quick with
a vengeance. Unfortunately, as things tend to go,
FilePlanet was behaving THAT bad today that there was no
way of getting the files up in time for everyone.
For everyone? What does that mean? Well, actually the
files are up, but only people who do have their
very own personal server at FilePlanet will be able to
access them. We thought it wouldn't be fair to open the
files just for a limited group of people, so all of you
will have to wait until the mirrors are up. We will of
course keep you updated, so it won't hurt to 'prepare
the popcorn'.
Q2dQ2 for Macintosh

Brandon Rich kindly built a version of the
Q2dQ2 menu mod for Macintosh users, so viewing
Quake2 done Quick2 on a Mac is now much friendlier.
MacQuake2ers can pick up the original release and this add-on
from the
Quake2 done
Quick2 page.
