RDSC2
3:00 cooperative three-player run through Runner's Delight on Easy skill

Runner's Delight at Speedcon 2

Abstract

This project was conceived at Speedcon3, the speed-runner's meeting which took place from July 30th to June 5th, 2006 in Copenhagen, Denmark. In this run, three players, namely Mathias Thore, Thomas Stubgaard and Thomas Bergendorff, go through the Runner's Delight mission pack in cooperative mode, finishing the levels as fast as possible on Easy skill. As opposed to the old RDSC run, we used unrestricted bunnies in this project.

Installation

First you need to find your main Quake directory. This probably has the name 'Quake' and will contain such items as your Quake executable programs (such as quake.exe, winquake.exe, glquake.exe, joequake.exe, etc.) (Mac users may be more used to the term 'folder' than directory)

Secondly you need to download the RDE pack and extract the content into a sub-folder. Give it whatever name you like; for the purposes of these instructions we will assume you have called it 'rde'.

The rdsc2.dz/zip file should contain 3 files which should be unzipped into the 'rde' directory. These 3 files are:

pak1.pak - contains all the data for the demo
rdsc2.txt - this text file you are reading
autoexec.txt - pre-set settings

Downloads

We've made the demos available in two versions: in zip and dzip format. Dzip is a demo compression utility that compresses Quake demos better than Zip, resulting in reduced download sizes.

OK, that's probably all you need to know. More info can be found in the textfile.
