Ah, I remember the axetus project from many years ago.
I remember that I acutally did e4m5 (with all those annoying spawns) but it was pretty useless since the project was pretty much dead, and it appeared that Will had already made a better demo.

But it's funny, I was actually looking for that axetus site a few days ago. I was thinking about all these internet words "like 1337, noob etc) and some I really hate, and I ended up thinking that "1337 started it all".
So I started trying to find out when I first encountered 1337. And that old axetus project site is the answer, where Ilkka wrote:
"Keep an eye on this site, I'm sure someone will be l337 enough to blast 10000 spawns in e4m5 someday :)"

So the news says 1 Sept, but what year is it? I think it's 1999. It appears to be '99 since he wrote: "not so new as the demos were recorded back in '98" in one place.

Tarzan over and out.

yeah the old page was at
www.saunalahti.fi/~scorpion/axetus. I'm
quite amazed I remembered that, because yes
it was back in 98/99. The times are still
up there, but not the demos. Good luck with
e1m3! (You'll see what I mean :)
