no trance ffs. Oh, and "idm"...i.e. Autechre, Ovuca, Boards of canada, µ-ziq etc.

Anything you want to add here (about yourself)?
Dunno. Can't be arsed. I'm really lazy. This is a major achievement for me to fill this in to start with.

Quake-related Information

Your nickname (story behind it)?
lodis. Which is swedish for tramp (or I guess you'd say hobo in the US).
Back in 98 I did absolutely fuck all, spent my days sleeping, and talking with friends, just being your typical slacker.
And the nights I spent partying. So my clanmates thought I was like a "hobo" or something.

Boring story...but you asked for it.

Your Quake config (key bindings, etc.)?
rdfg, mouse1=fire, mouse2=jump, and lots of weaponbinds and teamsays from my qw days.

Size of Quake directory on your HD?
God knows, I'm at work, but probably over 1 GB, I rarely delete things, and I've got a 80 Gb of space free.

Your computer (processor/videocard etc.)?
amd 1700+ xp, 512 RAM, gf2Ti

Quake settings (resolution, version etc.)?
glquake (the version where you can change fov). 640x400 or so.

First contact to speedrunning (when, how etc.)?
Speedrunning contest in eeeh...eeeh...98? Fall 98 I think. e2m1 the long way...to which I thought I had a good solution.
You weren't allowed to jump over the gap with or without the gl. So I took the gl and went back to the room where you dive
down to the gl/penta secret. There I did a gljump to the window, I thought that was a good route, but the guys at SDA
obviously didn't think so:)

First speedrunning demo?
arcane 1:32.

Favorite speedrunning demo(s) from yourself (the one(s) that you're most proud of)?
I'm not particularly proud of any of them since they're not optimized :) I can't bunny, so I mostly try to find new tricks to improve other peoples runs and then som bunnymaster breaks my run while blindfolded and playing with their feet.
But I do like my disturb runs.

Favorite speedrunning demo(s) from others?
OOh damn, the obvious ones of course, e1m4_019 etc. There are so many cool ones...some people keep astonishing me as the months go by. So let's just say that my favourites will come sometime in the next few years.

Favorite player (overall/runs/100%/marathon/coop)?
runs: I'd have to go with Jozsef on this one. He's really good and I like his attitude. Seems like a nice guy.
100%: Stubby.
marathon: Markus gets this one, and Amrik.
coop: coops are a good idea but less interesting to watch imo. so I rarely watch coops, but let's say me and Daniel Magnusson for the one demo we've made.
overall: weedmastah Optic. massive amount counts for something.
comedy: Morfans for updates, Shambler for his runs (no offense shambler) without strafing and Markus for using fishes with grenades to maintain speed.
lifetime achievement award: Nolan.

Favorite trick in a demo?
Any jumps with strange aircontrol and grenadepushes and high speeds.

Favorite QdQ release?
QdQwav

Favorite original Quake map?
I'd actually have to go for dm3 after all the hours, no weeks, no months I've spent playing 4on4s on that map without finding it dull.
Single player..pass. Dunno.

Favorite custom map?
Disturb. Cool map. Though there are lots of good maps, most of the maps Shambler has reviewed are good.

Most annoying monster/map?
Scrags. God I hate Scrags, they are always in the way. And sometimes Ogres are really annoying. Annoying maps I stay away from.

Do you like Doom/Quake2/Q3A?
Doom I liked back in the days, I have fond memories of playing Doom and drinking loads of beer at school (93) and then moving on to
Doom2, then Duke Nukem and then Quake 1. I dissed Quake2, sucky game. I've played Counterstrike in well known clan and now I'm playing Q3A.

What do you think of Quake now?
QW has the best "feeling" in it, but the graphics are a bit dull. I love Quake1's physics, the air control etc. Still an excellent game.

Quake Purity Test score? link
77.3 % quake pure

Anything else you want to add here?
nope. not right now.
