Dimension of the Gibbed

Welcome to part one of a multi-part contest that'll send your bodyparts flying! The idea is to gib your way through the whole of Episode One - Dimension Of The Doomed in the fastest possible time. The finishing stats from the winner of the first contest will be used as the starting stats of the second contest and so on. Don't worry if that sounds a little confusing, all will become clear as time goes on. At the end of the series of competitions all the winning entries (and any cool bits from the other demos) will be recammed and joined together to form one big QdQ style production.

Demos

Congratulations to Jozsef Szalontai who destroyed the opposition with a truly awesome display of bunnying and precision shooting. That means he will be the star of the first part of the re-cammed film just as soon as I learn how to recam a demo. :-)

The simple layout of this level meant that there weren't really many route choices but the overall quality of the demos was very high so well done everybody who took part. Let's see if we can keep this up for the rest of the project. ;-)

The rules of this contest are simple. You must complete e1m1 on Easy Skill getting 10/10 kills. Simple, eh? Well just to make it a little more fun every kill must be a gibbed kill. If you don't understand what that means then check out this demo and all will become clear. The winner, as usual, will be the person that exits in the fastest time. Secrets are entirely optional : you can use as many or as few as you like. All demos should be e-mailed to NolanONLY! If you have any questions send them to sda@planetquake.com, ask in #qdq on Quakenet or post your question on the Message Board.

The closing date for this contest is Midnight CET Sunday 29th September 2002. The results and the details of the second part of the contest will be posted (hopefully) on Monday 30th September.

Good luck and happy gibbing! :-)
